We now have a great career opportunity available for a Supply Contract Specialist to join our team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Supply Lead Site Support, you will provide contract support for sourcing activities for our site operations. You will be part of a broader team that acts as a conduit for sites into the group supply function and will focus on developing contracts based on business stakeholder scopes of requirement.
You have practical experience in contract development and drafting. In addition to this you have a high level of commercial negotiation experience. Good stakeholder management and communication skills are essential for the success of this position. Possessing a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering or Legal you have a strong attention to detail, time management and analytical skills. You are collaborative by nature and believe in fostering a knowledge sharing culture. Previous experience within the mining industry and using SAP will be viewed favourably.

This role forms a key part of our Technical Services Group. This group covers Geotechnical/Mining/Water, Geology/Resources, Metallurgy and Technology and has a mandate to significantly add value to these disciplines by driving long-term strategic planning within Life-of-Asset planning.
Operating as our subject expert you will provide direct strategic and tactical support to our operating sites, with a focus on geotechnical aspects of mine planning and operations. Your key areas of accountability include
Working closely with site based mining and geotechnical teams to provide high level analysis and advice to sites
Identifying any value-add opportunities in operating practices and plans
Highlighting any value-risk practices, propose alternative practices, and initiate corrective action projects
Reviewing and updating MMG geotechnical guidelines and standards
Ensuring that Life of Mine Plans have a suitable geotechnical risk and design review section prepared according to MMG's guidelines
Mentoring less experienced Engineers and assisting them to develop their knowledge and capability
Driving continuous technical improvement through all sites.
Possessing a relevant post-graduate level tertiary qualification, you also have substantial geotechnical experience with both underground and open pit metalliferous mines. You have a thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment and how government bodies address geotechnical issues. As someone who is passionate about their field you enjoy mentoring others and sharing your wealth of knowledge and experience.
Regular domestic and international travel is a key requirement to this role.

Immediate Start Long Term Contract FIFO Asia Our client have operations throughout Asia. They involve themselves in Oil and Gas offshore and onshore drilling and completions. We now require a Well Site Geologist for a 12 month contract.
The responsibilities of the role are providing onsite, real-time geologic interpretations, active geosteering and operational support during drilling. The role also demands pre-drill technical review and preparation to ensure successful well delivery; regular reporting during well execution; logging quality assurance; and post-drill documentation. Drilling operations include grassroots rotary wells, rotary rig sidetracks (RST), and coiled tubing drilling sidetracks (CST). Well types include vertical, extended-reach, high-angle slants, and horizontal wells (single and multi-lateral) targeting various reservoirs in fields.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical grounding in petroleum operations, development and production geoscience, drilling and completions, and field development. You will also be immediately available to work in Asia.

You are an inquisitive, analytical and logical person who can methodically identify critical issues and diagnose actual and potential problems. You have a solid understanding of the production and processing issues faced in mining and a strong background in leading business improvement projects. Possessing a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance or Business, you also hold qualifications in LEAN and/or Six Sigma. You are someone who is happy to share their passion and knowledge with others and can work closely with people to influence practices and behaviours.
